Schedule Classes Around Your Life
Attend classes entirely on campus or 100% online...or do a little of both!
Either way, you'll love our unique class scheduling.
Block schedule: what's so great about it?
1. It simplifies your life
How would you like to take only two courses per term and still graduate on time? That's just how we operate. At a 'traditional' university, classes can begin at 8AM and end at 8PM, and you can have up to four different classes and two labs at the same time. Sounds confusing, huh?
2. It's convenient
Your class schedule can be set so you have class at nearly same time of day throughout your entire program. This means you won't have to change your work schedule every semester--that should be worth a raise!
- Early birds: Do you think most clearly just after the sun rises? Take our morning courses for your entire program and always be at your best.
- Night owls: Do you work late at night or just like to sleep in? Our afternoon or evening classes would work best for you. It's entirely your choice.
You learn more
At Akron Institute we want you to get the most out of your education. Having only two classes at a time makes for more focused, in-depth study. It beats trying to juggle seven or eight different courses, like you did in high school.
Hands-on education
- Do you like to create projects?
- Does it seem like you never have enough time to work on a project?
Akron Institute instructors combine lecture and lab during the same class period so you can actually apply the "how" and the "why" to what you are learning.
Online
For maximum flexibility: Herzing's online university lets you fit classes around your schedule and offers over 30 different online degree and diploma programs. Students at the Online campus also take just two courses at a time. Plus, you are always just one phone call or email away from real people who offer real help.
